My Hardware
In order to Test which CPU Mining Coin is most profitable i have been mining them on my
i7 920 2.67Ghz with a CPU benchmark of 5008.
6GB of Ram– Protoshares/MemoryCoin are the two that the CPU miner i’m testing that requires any extra Ram.
Windows 8 Pro 64bit. Not using computer for anything other than mining.
Your Hardware
When Trying to Figure out what Benchmark you have google your CPU model and the “CPU Benchmark” after it then go to the result on http://www.cpubenchmark.net/. If you have a 10,000 Benchmark then you will likely mine Double my results. If you mine 2,500 then you will likely mine Half of the coins I mined. I’ll let you do the math. Really it’s just to show which coin to pick as of this data over time the coin might go up or down in value making it no longer the most profitable coin.
Does your CPU have AES-NI?
Depending on if you computer has AES-NI also, you will want to add a X at the end program of Memorycoin, Protoshare & Primecoin to Accelerate it, more directions given below. If you unsure if it has AES-NI, just try it and see if it crashes the Dos window or if it works.For a Chart of AES-NI benchmark tests. A Software tool to see if you have AES-NI on your CPU is HWiNFO. You might need to go in to BIOS and enable sometime it comes Disable by default.

Final Thoughts
This was a Quick Round up of my performance on a 3 year old i7 desktop i was using as a spare. My home i7-3930k because it’s a new CPU and supports AES-NI which will give me accelerated mining on Memorycoin and Primecoin, I will retest to see which coin win’s. If you are on older hardware i3, i5 or anything slower Primecoin would be my pick. Things can change dramatically as weeks go on and prices go up or down and difficulty on the coin also changes and as new coins come in the picture. It’s a exiting time for Alt-coin Mining! Now you know what is the most profitable cpu coin!
